Rob Kardashian posted on Instagram Sunday a message comparing his sister Kim to the villain Amy Dunne in the film Gone Girl.
The message, "This is my sister kim , the bitch from Gone Girl,,," appeared alongside an image of blood-covered Amy, who was played in the movie by actress Rosamund Pike. In the film, Amy stages her own disappearance, frames her husband for it and kills her ex-boyfriend.
There was no further explanation about what prompted Kardashian to post the bizarre message and no hint as to whether he intended it to be a joke.
TMZ said he recently un-followed his entire family from Instagram.
Kardashian did not attend Kim and Kanye West's wedding in Italy last year, suggesting to Kardashian watchers that he and the family had had a falling-out.
