26-year-old Alex Buckner, who, according to police, has a history of drug abuse, even though at the moment of this incidence was alright, had shot all members of his family to death, before setting the house on fire.
The police had received two different calls to 911 from the Buckner’s home, and at their arival at the scene, the house was already on fire.
They later discovered the bodies of Kimberly, 18, Emma, 6 (both sisters of Alex) dead from gun shots and inhaling heavy amount of smoke. They later discovered the bodies of Vic and Kimberly Buckner, Alex’s parents, as the search continued.
They were able to pull 18-year-old Kaitlin out of the fire, but she died at the local hospital she was taken to.
When they found Alex in a room, he pointed the gun at the police, and after a brief standoff was shot and killed.
Investigations are still ongoing on the tragic event.
