The rapper’s indictment was from an incident that occurred back in June 2015, when Rozay took his groundskeeper, Jonathan Zamudio, into his guesthouse and pistol whipped him twice with his 9mm glock.
According to TMZ, Ross’ attorney Steve Sadow claims Jonathan was using the guesthouse to have parties and use drugs, and Rick was just ‘acting in self-defense and in defense of his property when he encountered trespassers.’
The rapper is yet to receive a trial date.
