Leicester City have made a bid in the region of £23million for CKSA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa, according to the Russian club’s manager Leonid Slutskiy.
The Premier League champions were interested in the 23-year-old in January, but have now returned with a concrete offer for the Nigeria international.
“The British club offered a bit less than €30m (£22.86m),” Slutskiy said.
“Musa came to me a few days ago and asked when he [Ranieri] is back for the holidays and I told him I do not know, I do not know Ranieri.”
Should the deal go through it will make him Nigeria’s most expensive player, eclipsing the $17million (about £14m then) PSG paid Fenerbahçe in 1998 to bring the former Nigerian skipper to Paris.
