God Is Punishing Ibinabo For Banning Me From AGN - Actress Crystabel Goody

Fast rising actress Crystabel Goody who was banned from the Actors Guild of Nigeria says former president, Ibinabo Fiberisima is suffering for her action.

Crystabel made headlines when fellow actress, Princess Chineke accused her of biting her thigh during an argument.Ibinabo who was the AGN president at the time banned her.The ban has now been lifted by current president, Emeka Ike..She told Saturday Beats

Ibinabo was accused of killing somebody and she was walking on the street, bragging before the law caught up with her. I believe that it is because she passed a wrong judgement against me that God is punishing her. Her ban against me was flimsy and uncalled for even though it has been lifted by Emeka Ike.

“I was in her office and she told me that I was a very decent young lady from the way we were chatting, my lawyer was there and I am quoting her verbatim. She told me not to worry that the matter was just a fight between two people. She advised that I work on my temperament. She said that she would settle the matter and reverse the ban. She even went as far as taking me to the stadium where they had their veteran football competition and introduced me to the chairman, board of trustees and some directors. As she was introducing me, some of the men told me that I didn’t look the part of a fighter and that I should be more careful next time and avoid people who would trigger my anger. She promised the man that she would take control of the situation.

“She asked me to come to her office the next day and I was there with my lawyer, we waited for seven hours but Ibinabo refused to see me. She gave a flimsy excuse that the other actress was not available because she went to treat her wound. My lawyer was of the opinion that the other girl did not have to be there, that all Ibinabo should have done was to reconcile us and reverse the ban she placed on me. She is certainly paying for the wickedness she meted out on me because God does not joke with me. I don’t go about looking for trouble; I live a very private life. I am not a saint but I try my best to help people.”

Ibinabo Was Wicked On Actress Crystabel Goddy - .Emeka Ike

Recall the sad incident involving two Nollywood actresses, Crystabel Goddy and Princess Chineka, On Friday, 12 February, 2016, after the duo were engaged in a dirty fight on a movie location in Iyana Ipaja, while, the Emeka Ike Led faction of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has come to her rescue.

It was leant that the duo had a little misunderstanding while on a movie set and that led to some scuffle which saw Crystabel biting off Princess thigh.

After the news went viral, the then Ibinabo Fiberesima led administration of the guild had to place Crystabel on suspension until the guild get to the root of the matter.

But with Emeka Ike coming on board as the new AGN president, he has decided to revisit the case where he pointed out that it was wrong for Crystabel to be placed on suspension because she was never a card carrying member of the guild.

In his words, “Even if Miss Crystabel Goddy, were a member of our Guild, there are set procedures for dealing with issues bothering on indiscipline. Miss Goddy never faced any disciplinary panel to hear her case to determine her guilt or otherwise.

“Her purported suspension by Ibinabo is akin to jungle justice, which is alien to Actors Guild of Nigeria. For the avoidance of doubt, Miss Crystabel Goddy is not under any suspension by Actors Guild of Nigeria, and therefore free to continue her career, as we rebuild our Guild to make it once more attractive to young talents.”

Grace Amah Writes An Open Letter To Congratulate Ibinabo Fiberesima

news

For two days now, majority of Nigerian celebrity have been basking in jubilation over the bail condition granted to ex-beauty queen and ex-AGN President Ibinabo Fiberesima who was sentenced to a five year jail term for manslaughter.

Yesterday, Thursday, the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal, granted the veteran actress fondly called IB was released on N2million bail.

Another Nollywood diva, Grace Amah has written her a congratulatory message to the embattled former president of their guild.

In an Instagram post titled “Even The Law Recognizes Good Conduct As Payroll: Credit To Ibinabo”

Ms Amah, the single mother of one wrote: “Today marked another milestone in the life of Mrs @ibinabofiberesima when the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos considered the appeal filed by her lawyers, and granted her bail from Kirikiri prisons pending the determination of her appeal at the Supreme Court. Her lawyers had argued and convinced the learned Justices that Mrs Ibinabo had conducted herself in good manners since the commencement of the case and had never jeorpadized proceedings by her action or conduct. Her exemplary life despite her social status is a symbol of honour.

Many of our colleagues had joined hands in prayers and called on God to intervene to save the life of our dear AGN President. We are united in our purpose and resolve knowing that the accident was an unfortunate development which claimed the life of the deceased but was never deliberate action on the part of Ibinabo. Today, the saying that “God’s ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts” has come true.

I want to use this opportunity to appreciate God for His mercy, grace and compassion upon Ibinabo. I thank our colleagues and the formidable team of lawyers who are fighting this case. I am optimistic that victory shall come the way of Ibinabo at the Supreme Court. I also thank family members of late Dr. Suraj Giwa that have shown clear disposition to clemency to Ibinabo knowing that life is a journey, it could be anyone tomorrow. As we continue to toe the path of justices and peace, we must note that God has the final say in all circumstances. This can only be God…May God’s name be praised forever! God at work. Faithful father. All praises to God.”
