10,000 Fulanis March For Buhari

10,000 Fulanis March For Buhari
Less than a week after a Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, pledged its allegiance to the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, chairman of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Muhammad Dan Ali, has mobilised over 10,000 Fulani to support APC’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Daily Trust report online, the Fulani supporters were gathered from across the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State.
It was reported that the move was also to show solidarity to APC’s governorship candidate in Kebbi state, Sen Atiku Bagudu.
Speaking on why they decided to support Gen Buhari, Alhaji Ali said they were in Birnin Kebbi to assure Buhari and Bagudu of Fulani’s unflinching support for the APC.
The chairman of Miyetti Allah stated that they decided to take Kebbi people by surprise, adding that the gathering is a testimony that the Fulani are united and that there is no crack in the leadership in the state.
In her response, wife of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Zainab Atiku Bagudu, called on Fulani across the state to keep calm and not indulge in any act of retaliation.
She said: “As a medical practitioner, I reassure the women that APC administration will be gender sensitive and will express better understanding of the plight of women.”
The pro-Jonathan Fulani group had last week stated it preparedness to ensure that the incumbent President wins the presidential election come March 28.

This was made known by the national president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, who spoke from his office at Nasarawa state.
He said the association has adopted vigorous campaign strategies in such a way that it would be able to attract all Fulani pastoralists to vote for President Jonathan for the continuation of his transformation agenda.
Bodejo also described President Jonathan as a man of transformation and a dependable person who has the interests of the Fulanis at heart all the time.
Meanwhile, the factional leader of the Yoruba group, Oodua People’s Congress, Ganiyu Adams, said that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.,) will not be getting a bloc vote from the southwest in the March 28 presidential election.
