APC Tells PDP To Stop Terrorising Nigerians

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state has told the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that no amount of violence and terrorism can make it possible to win the March 28 and April 11 elections.

In a statement by its state director of publicity, research and strategy, Kunle Oyatomi, the Osun APC reminded the PDP that in spite of the violence and terrorism it unleashed on the citizens of Osun prior to August 9, 2014, the PDP still lost the governorship election.
The party was reacting to the violence recently instigated at Ilase and Ibokun in Obokun local government areas in which one APC woman supporter had her ear slashed and other supporters of the ruling party in the state were severely injured.
It said a repeat of the violence and terrorism will not make the PDP win.
APC warned the PDP that it will not profit from impunity and its resort to violence in the run-up to the elections because “there will be consequences locally and internationally”.
The APC added that “the murderous nature of PDP violence in several APC states of the federation is clear evidence of desperation borne out of the frustration that, in spite of everything the PDP has done to douse people’s support for the APC, its popularity continues to rise.”
This is not the first time that the PDP has allegedly harassed APC supporters and leaders. Rumours were rife that over the weekend soldiers roamed the street of an APC leader, in a show of force ahead of the nation’s general elections.
