APC Unveils Its Plans To Win Elections In Gombe

As the general elections draws closer, Nigeria’s main opposition party ,All Progressive Congress (APC)  has concluded its plans on a strategy to win more voters to its side.

The John Oyegun led party has embarked on massive sensitization of voters across the country ahead of the elections.
Speaking to journalists yesterday, the Gombe state coordinator of the programme, Yakubu Ibrahim Bulama, said the programme was designed to educate the electorate on votes casting.
“This year’s election process is cumbersome and it is quite different with previous elections conducted in this country. That is why as a party with large followers, we are embarking on this exercise,” he said.
He said a total 288 participants drawn from the 114 wards in Gombe State have been selected to go to nook and crannies of the state to enlighten voters.
One of the participants, Fatima Shuaibu Gara, told Daily Trust that  with the training, she now knows how to vote and can also educate others.
“I will go house-to-house to educate women on how to vote so that the APC wins the elections,” she said.
In a related development, Nigeria’s first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan yesterday said the APC will be buried on March 28th.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu has vowed that the ruling party will secure 70% of votes from the Nigerian women voters in the upcoming elections.
