INEC Meets With Stakeholders In Lagos

A stakeholders’ forum by the Independent National Electoral Commission is holding in Ikeja in preparation for the presidential election on Saturday.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Akin Orebiyii, stated that permanent voter card distribution is ongoing across polling units in the state till the end of today.

He said despite the production hurdles experienced by the commission, 5.6 million PVCs have been released out of the 5.8 million units issued.

The state Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti, also noted that the military and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps are ready to assist in maintaining law and order at the polls.
