Nigerians React To Patience Jonathan's Outlandish Quotes

The 2015 national elections is finally on the horizon and Nigeria’s top political stakeholders are now realizing the people exist as they fight for votes.

One of the most noteworthy wing of the Presidential campaign for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is Femi Fani Kayode, who is a former Opposition member and now PDP campaign spokesman.

He has been very active in the resurrection of the president’s popularity but here we explore how Nigerians feel for the comments of the President’s beloved wife, Patience Jonathan, who has been quite active in the past couple of days.

She began last week by stating that Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi is currently homeless and then begged Nigerians not to vote Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the APC presidential candidate so as to avoid going to prison.

She also yesterday told a gathering of Ondo state ladies that they should vote for someone who values women and education.

She told the ladies: Do not vote for the candidate of the APC who do not have regard for the women. This is pay back time for President Jonathan all our women should come out on saturday and cast their vote for him.”

Well Nigerians have been talking about her recent outbursts and below are what they said.

Onuoha Chuks wrote: she is afraid of prison because the real looters of our treasury are calling for change to BIGGER LOOT. have you seen where a person in any economy has about 55% of a states wealth.BE WISE.

Continuing the earlier motive, Oladele Aina Odunsi wrote: Dame, why are you looting our treasury when you don’t want to go to prison? You n your husband will be in prison for the next 2 years.

Elizabeth Oni-Dada supported Dame P’s stance and said: Madam, I just pray your husband wins in this election…Hmmm if the other party wins, please ensure all your travel documents are intact and close-by because they will not spare you. Also, prepare your statement of account let it be upto date.It’s an advise from a concerned mother and wife the difference is that my husband is not a politician and will never (!) be.

KabeerWali Muhammad asked a legitimate question,:  Prison! Prison!! Prison!!! Will they just take me to prison without any offence? You have committed a lot ot atrocities and that is why you keep retreating the prison issue. That prison is a must and a sure destination for you. Let’s see how you can escape. We follow you chop that you keep saying we will go to prison? You are compounding your problems madam xxxx xxxx Patience Afaka Jonathan.

Agiri Omooba wrote on one of  Nigeria’s popular social medium:  If JONATHAN did well during the period he was there as President, you do not need to beg anybody to vote for him. If he provided Health facilities for women so that they do not die unnecessarily during childbirth, nobody would need to come and beg women for votes. If he built Hospitals, good roads and provided employment for their children, nobody needs to beg the women to vote for him. It is only in a backward country like Nigeria you would see an illiterate First Lady coming to beg people to vote for her husband who has wasted nearly six years of the trust and mandate given to him. This is payback time….!

Patience Jonathan has been criticized unnecessary for the past couple of years over not only grammatical errors but also accusations of misuse her office.

She has been accused of allegedly making the governance of Rivers state by Rotimi Amaechi more difficult due to Amaechi joining another party.
