A middle age man, was at the weekend hacked to death by rival suspected cultists in Ondo in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State during the celebration of annual Ogun festival at the weekend.
The incident has thrown the residents of the town into confusion for fear of reprisal attack by rival cultist groups.
Although the details about the incident was still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, it was learnt from two different sources that the victim whose identitu was yet to be ascertained was said to be a strong member of ‘Eiye Confraternity’ was being trailed from Okegbala Street to Fiwasaye Street, where he was macheted to death by other rival cult group identified as ‘Afee’Another version of the story, however, stated that, the victim was sent on an erand by one of his relatives whose name was given as Adama, it was learnt that it was when the victim was coming from where he has gone to deliver the message that they laid ambush for him and hacked him to death.
