The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Education Board has endorsed a marketing textbook titled: ‘Elementary Marketing for Senior Secondary Schools’.
The book, co-authored by two young entrepreneurs, Razaq Abdullahi and Chima Azu, has been described as novelty in the effort by various stakeholders in education to incorporate entrepreneurship skills in secondary school curriculum.
During the public presentation of the book in Abuja; both educationists, and school administrators, who grace the occasion, expressed the hope that the book would bridge the gap in vocational, technical and entrepreneurship skills education in Nigeria.
Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri, one of the dignitaries that unveiled the book, praised the determination and industry of the authors in developing a book that will equip secondary school graduates with marketing skills.
Endorsing the book, Director FCT Secondary Education Board, Yelwa Fatima Baba- Ari, remarked that: “ The book is an early step to keying into the newly restructured National Senior School Curriculum on Trade Subjects, which is designed to produce secondary school graduates who would be well-fitted and prepared for higher education as well as having relevant skills to stand of their own which is needed for wealth creation”
