Ikeme will bring the best out of Enyeama, says Amun

Former Nigeria U-17 coach, Fanny Amun has said the performance of Wolverhampton of England goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, in goal for Super Eagles in the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania will definitely bring out the best from Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama anytime he comes home to honour national assignments.

Following the heroic performance of Ikeme in goal for Eagles against Tanzania last Saturday in Dar es Salaam, Amun declared that this was the first time after a long period that Nigeria were having a very capable assistant goalkeeper. “For me the goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was the man of the match. His composure was so high throughout the duration of the match.
At the end of the day people will see that someone has come to give Enyeama a fight for the number one position. “Many goalkeeper substitutes just come to camp to collect allowances but this is the very first time we have a good substitute for Enyeama if he is indisposed. If Enyeama watched this match he is going to get more serious. “Enyeama is an experienced and very reliable goalkeeper. He will be happy now that he has a good substitute,” Amun stressed.
