Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have both made it perfectly clear that they aren’t really looking for relationships right now, but when asked if a reconciliation of their romance was possible…Selena definitely didn’t shut the idea down completely!
Selena Gomez, 23, is loving life as a single lady, but no matter how hard she tries, she just can’t escape being connected to her ex, Justin Bieber. But don’t rule out the possibility of a reconciliation, because even the “Good For You” singer herself admitted she doesn’t know what the future holds.
While discussing her relationship with the Biebs with Elle magazine, Selena was point-blank asked whether or not they’d ever get back together — and her response will give Jelena fans everywhere some home. “I don’t know!” she laughed, practically shouting at her interviewer. WHAT?! So that means it’s totally possible that the on-off relationship could be back on at some point in the future?!
But dating just isn’t the 23-year-old’s main priority right now — especially since she has an album coming out in less than a month, on Oct. 9. “Finding somebody is not my main focus,” she admitted to the mag. “I’ve dated people. I’ve been on a few dates, which is really exciting. But I’ve never wanted to get into anything serious, because I kind of did that. I have my guard up. I like to meet people in organic settings — hanging out with a group of people and meeting through mutual people.”
As for where her relationship with Justin stands these days, Selena insisted they’re “genuinely” friends who will always love, support and respect each other. Awwww!
2016 is shaping up to be a BIG year for Selena and Justin. They’re both putting out new records before 2015 ends, so don’t be surprised if they’re both hitting the road next year, and if that’s the case, they’ll certainly be too busy for relationships. Looks like we’ll have to hold out a little longer for a reconciliation here, but always remember: It’s still a possibility!
