Jordon Ibe picks England over Nigeria

Nigeria head coach, Sunday Oliseh, has confirmed that Liverpool winger, Jordon Ibe, has decided to play for England rather the West African nation.

Jordon Ibe, 19, now appears to have made a decision to pledge his international future to England after being monitored by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) since the start of this year.

Oliseh, who only assume the head coach role of the Nigerian men’s national team in July, did attempt to convince the impressive teenager to switch his allegiance to Nigeria when he made a trip to England in August.
The Nigerian trainer has now dropped the hint that Ibe has made a decision by “giving priority to an England call-up.”

Ibe has appeared for England at the Under-18, 19 and 20 levels between 2012 and 2014, reports supersport.com.

Last month, the winger got his first under-21 call-up from England, and is now in line to get a senior invitation with the Three Lions.

Ibe, born to a Nigerian father, has made five appearances for Liverpool this season including coming off the bench to replace Brazilian Roberto Firmino in their 1-3 loss at Manchester United on Saturday.
