Just as Kendall Jenner jetted off for Paris Fashion Week, there were rumblings that she was late to fashion shows and on her phone the entire time — acting like a total diva. Now her mom, Kris Jenner, is sobbing and defending her!
Kris Jenner to the rescue! Kris flew to Paris to support Kendall Jenner during Fashion Week and posted an emotional message on Instagram saying how proud she is of her 19-year-old daughter and that Kendall has made “numerous sacrifices” to become an internationally recognized model. This is definitely interesting timing considering Kendall was just labeled a total diva backstage at fashion shows in NYC.
Kris posted the lengthy message alongside Kendall’s Estée Lauder ad and said that Kendall was fast asleep next to her trying to catch some z’s before their whirlwind work trip.
She goes on to say that Kendall “worked damn hard to get here … tireless endless days and nights, doing whatever she is asked, to follow her dream. She is beyond grateful, feels so blessed, and believe me, so grateful this is her career. She isn’t the norm, I know … But just wanted to say as I turned the page, and to see her dream come true …. Not sure anyone else might understand why I am a crying sobbing mess in my seat, when actually I feel like my heart could burst because I’m a #proudmama.”
We think it’s great that Kris wanted to take time to come to bat for her daughter but there’s a shocking report in Grazia magazine that says Kendall was late to several jobs during NYFW andshowed up to the Diane von Furstenberg show 15 minutes before the show was about to begin. But we must admit even if she really was late, she looked incredible!
“Other models, like Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid, were having final touches on hair and make-up when she arrived, having shaved her legs in a taxi on the way there,” the insider claims. “The call time was two hours earlier and people were overheard asking where Kendall was. Once she finally made it into make-up she was engrossed in her phone.”
