Chris Brown, 26, must be so relieved upon hearing this news. The singer was nervous for Royalty‘s, 1, safety after he found out Nia Guzman‘s boyfriend King Ba was wanted by the Houston Police Department for allegedly forging checks. After evading authorities for a few weeks, King Ba is finally behind bars, but how he got there proved to be a very interesting fact.
Apparently Royalty’s “other father” turned himself in to authorities after seeing his mugshot on Crime Stoppers, according to TMZ. Not too long after he was behind bars, law enforcement revealed that King Ba was released on a $5,000 bond. It is uncertain if King Ba reunited with Nia after he was released. Sources close to Royalty’s mother claim Nia broke up with Ba at an undisclosed time.
It all started when there was footage of a man who authorities assumed to be King Ba on surveillance tapes using forged checks. This lead the Houston Police Department to search for Ba on the charges of using fake checks all over town. According to Crime Stoppers, Ba allegedly forged U.S. Treasury checks totaling over $5,000, deposited these checks into local bank accounts and then proceeded to withdraw crash from them.
