Yikes! Lara Stone, who starred alongside Justin Bieber in those now-iconic Calvin Klein ads, has just finalized a divorce from her husband, months after the ads went wide. Was the sexy shoot to blame for the end of her marriage?
Back in January, everyone flipped out when Justin Bieber, 21, was officially named the new face of Calvin Klein. Along with some smoldering stills of the Biebs rocking his Calvins, a brief video was also released, showing Justin getting seriously hot with model, Lara Stone, 31. Sadly, Lara’s marriage to comedian, David Walliams, came to a screeching halt when their divorce was completed on Sept. 10– and David is claiming that Lara and her behavior are to blame for the relationship’s dissolution!
Lara and David’s divorce hearing lasted just 60 seconds in the court room, following a reported six month separation period. The couple share a two-year-old son, Alfred.
As to the reason for their marriage’s termination, David didn’t dance around the issue that Lara’s actions have taken a toll. He blamed Lara’s “unreasonable behavior” as an obstacle which cannot be overcome. Now, while David remained vague as to what exactly those behaviors he might be referring to are, the timeline of events gives us some insight.
Lara and David reportedly began their trial separation more than six months ago, which would place its start shortly after the intense Calvin Klein shoot. In one of the most famous photographs from the campaign, Lara lay topless on the ground, eyes closed, as Justin hovered over her, covering her bare breasts with just his forearm. It’s understandable why such graphic (and widely seen) photos might put a strain on the relationship.
