The Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce, which held at the Ikorodu Musical Village last Saturday, was a mixture of drama and music. The concert, which paraded Nigeria’s hip hop and gospel artistes, was attended by over 2,000 residents of Ikorodu, Lagos. It kicked off with female and male dancers from Ikorodu spicing the event with local flavour, while the audience turned the concert into a festival of sort as they sang with all the artistes who graced the stage with unrivalled passion and enthusiasm.
The sensational female lyricist, Di’Ja, who opened the concert, thrilled the overflowing crowd with her hottest songs including ‘Awww.’
She carried the crowd along and controlled the stage in a sublime manner that made her petite frame seemed larger than life. Next to mount the stage was the ‘Welu-Welu’ exponent, Sammie Okposo, who asked the crowd to come forward so that he could feel their energy. They responded and reciprocated his gesture by joining the gospel star in singing his mostly praise worship songs.
