Paul Walker was a talented actor, but above all, anyone he knew praised his kindness and enthusiasm for the life he had created. He left behind a daughter, Meadow Walker, now 16, whom he loved dearly. Best known for his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furiousfranchise, Paul was an unmistakable presence in the film industry — and he’s sorely missed. Today, September 12 we’d like to pay him tribute on what wouldn’t been his 42nd birthday.
Though Paul got his start in tons of teen movies, including Pleasantville and She’s All That. It always warms our hearts whenever we recognize a young Paul in a supporting role from a film we haven’t seen in years. His resume is impressive and endless, ranging from action (Joy Ride) to touching (Eight Below), and of course, the Fast and the Furious movies.
As Brian O’Conner, Paul lit up the screen for six unforgettable movies, each getting better than the last, and was able to complete most of the seventh. With the help of crafty editing, we saw Paul ride off into the sunset one last time; there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, and we’re sure that was the same for you.
While we all know Paul for his acting, he was a passionate humanitarian as well. In 2010, he went to Chile to lend help during the aftermath of the 8.8 magnitude earthquake that injured many. That same year, he flew to Haiti to assist with the devastating earthquake that rocked the nation as well. What a beautiful soul.
