A lot of ladies would line up to date Zayn Malik, 22, in a heartbeat now that he’s single, but Rita Ora, 24, just isn’t one of them. While playing a game in an interview using her epic catchphrase “mash it up” to indicate which stars she would date, Zayn’s name comes up and there’s an awkward silence before she says she would “leave it” — but she does have an explanation for why!
In the game with Capital FM, which is normally called “Lips, Wife, Leave It,” Rita says she would “mash it up” with Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Chris Brown, Diplo and even Miley Cyrus. When Zayn’s name is mentioned by the host she goes completely silent, clearly not sure what to say! She then says, “Zayn, he’s gorgeous, but, I just…” before going quiet again. Awkward!
