The Senate has gone ahead to approve the names of 18 ministerial nominees sent to them. President Mumamadu Buhari had last week sent 21 names for consideration but after two days of screening two are yet to be cleared.
They are Adebayo Shittu and Rotimi Amaechi and are scheduled to be screened on Thursday.
The 18 ministers so far approved are: Chris Ngige, Kayode Fayemi, Babatunde Fashola, Abdulrahman Dambazau, Aisha Alhassan, Ogbonaya Onu, Kemi Adeosun, Abubakar Malami and Senator Hadi Sirika.
Others are: Solomon Dalong, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Audu Ogbeh, Udo Udo Udoma, Lai Mohammed Amina Mohammed, Ibrahim Usman Jibril and Suleiman Adamu.
