The 25-year-old singer will share the role with Idris Elba, Jonathan Ive and Anna Wintour
There aren't many people as in-demand as Taylor Swift these days.
And the 25-year-old singer has now landed herself one of the biggest roles going in showbiz.
It's been announced that the Shake It Off hitmaker will act as the celebrity host for the 2016 Met Gala in New York.
The fundraiser is held each year - often pulling in a star-studded guestlist - and Tay Tay has already been locked down for the May 2016 bash.
The blonde will be joined as co-chair by Anna Wintour , Idris Elba and Jonathan Ive.
With just over half a year left to go, the show's theme has already been announced as 'Manux X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.'
Curator of the Costume Institute, Andrew Bolton, explained to Vogue: "Traditionally, the distinction between the haute couture and prêt-à-porter was based on the handmade and the machine-made.
"But recently this distinction has become increasingly blurred as both disciplines have embraced the practices and techniques of the other."
