Prison contractors withdraw threat on food, gas supply to inmates

The National Association of Nigerian Prisons Service Ration and Gas contractors Tuesday withdrew its threat to withdraw food and gas supply to Prison inmates.
According to statement from the Prisons spokesperson, DCP Enobore Francis, the Association made the withdrawal after a meeting with the Controller General of Prisons, Dr. Peter Ekpendu at the National Headquarters of the Service in Abuja.

It would be recalled that members of the association had written to Mr. President informing him of their intention to stop food supply to prison inmates due to the inability of the Nigerian Prisons Service to settle outstanding bills.
