If the venue of the recently held All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA) had been charged by the number of celebrities across Africa that came to witness the award, the arrival of All Progressive Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his large entourage changed the momentum of the ceremony.
Tinubu was given an award of Pillar of Art and Culture in Africa by the African Union and the organisers of AFRIMA and after receiving his award trophy, the Jagaban Borgu was given the microphone to give his acceptance speech. Tinubu first called for a minute silence for those killed in Paris on Friday, November 13.
Immediately after his speech, the Asiwaju of Lagos led his entourage out of the event.
The second edition of AFRIMA was held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos and it has artists from across Africa in attendance.
