The hope of Nigerian striker Peter Odemwingie to get his season back on track at Stoke City has suffered a setback as he is ruled out of Tuesday’s Capital One Cup against Sheffield Wednesday.
The 34-year-old is injurd with “a slight hamstring pull,” according to Stoke City manager Mark Hughes.
“Peter has got a slight hamstring pull, so isn’t available,” said Hughes.
The Nigerian forward has found game time hard to come by as he has appeared in two Barclays Premier League matches against Liverpool and Leicester City.
In July, Odemwingie penned a 12-month contract with the Potters and there is an option of another year.
