Barcelona hammered Real Betis 4-0 on Wednesday night, breaking Real Madrid’s record for most goals scored in a calender year.
Lionel Messi, who was making his 500th appearance for the Nou Camp side, pulled them level on 178 goals in the first half.
Luis Suarez then bagged a brace, to push the La Liga champions’ haul to 180 in 2015.
The trio of Messi (48), Suarez (48) and Neymar (41), are responsible for 75% of Barcelona’s goals for the year.
Real Madrid’s record was set in 2014.
