The federal government has been asked to review modalities for the implementation of its Treasury Single Account (TSA) in order to achieve its overall objective of blocking leakages in government revenue.
According to Professor Kenneth Adeyemi, a faculty member of Ilorin-based Goshen International Business School, the call became imperative given the large number of government ministries, departments and agencies whose accounts are being brought together under one platform with the TSA.
Adeyemi, who represented the Chairman, Governing Council of the institution, Mr. Bayo Atoyebi at a luncheon for selected stakeholders in Ilorin, Kwara State over the weekend, said while the idea of a TSA was long overdue and should be supported by all, there is need to review some aspects of its execution.
