The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in for a stormy session when it convenes its second post-election National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday.
Top on the agenda is the filling of the National Chairmanship position, which has been vacant since May last.
The National Working Committee (NWC) has finally bowed to pressure to allow someone from the North East (where the position has been zoned to since 2012) serve out the remaining tenure.
The battle for who becomes the 13th National Chairman of the PDP is between the NWC members and ministers who served in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet.
