The Senator representing the Lagos East District, Senator Gbenga Ashafa and other residents of Ibeju-Lekki have commended the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on the successful connection of rural communities in the area to the national grid.
They lauded the current administration, saying that 68 communities had been in darkness for over five years.
Ashafa described the commissioning of the rural electrification project embarked upon by the state government within the state and Lagos East Senatorial district in particular.
The senator stated that connection of the communities to the national grid was promise made and fulfilled by the governor.
Ashafa that with the completion of the rural electrification project, about 157 communities will indirectly benefit in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State.
