Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) Wednesday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to prove his administration’s openess and transparency to the Nigerian populace by making open the total amount recovered so far from those who looted the national treasury and what the money would be used for
CDHR also enjoined the government to spread the anti-corruption fight across all the various sectors and ministries, departments and agencies as against the one sided notion perceived by Nigerians.
The group made the call while delivering a protest letter to President Buhari through the Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, enjoining the government to channel the recovered funds to projects that can impact positively on the populace within the shortest of time.
Comrade Idris Saka, the National Vice President, while presenting the letter lamented that the nation’s resources are enough to cater for the people if only it is put to good use. He warned the government not to forget its promise of change during the campaign.
