Ambode Gives N1m To Triplets’ Mother

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State yesterday appealed to Mr. Olayinka Michael, who reported fled after his wife gave birth to triplets, to return home. Michael, a bricklayer, allegedly ran away from home when he heard his wife gave birth to triplets after a set of twins at first birth. Ambode’s appeal came barely eight months after he assisted a woman whose husband absconded after giving birth to three set of twins.

Speaking while presenting N1 million cash to the mother of triplets, Mrs. Olayinka Aina Michael, the governor said abandoning the woman in the hospital after God’s blessings was not the way to appreciate the woman.

Ambode, who demanded to see the absconded husband for counselling, urged him not to run away from the children, who, according to him, have brought him good luck. Speaking through his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Hon. Kehinde Joseph, the governor urged the wife to find means of communicating with her husband.

Ambode advised the mother of triplets to use the money judiciously by starting a business. He said: “Tell your husband that I want to see him and he needs to liaise with the Special Adviser on Civic Engagement for counselling.”
