House Representative Committee on Interior organized a Public Hearing for an Act to Establish the Nigerian Peace Corps (NPC) to train, educate and re-orient the youths of this nation, particularly students, to facilitate Peace and Youth Development and for other related matters.
The event which took place at the Conference Hall of House Committee on Interior, National Assembly complex in Abuja on 13th April, 2016, ended in favour of Nigerian Peace Corps as majority of the stakeholders were in support of the Bill.
However, The Senate Committee on Interior has scheduled the Pre-hearing for an Act to Establish the Nigerian Peace Corps (NPC) for Tuesday, 19th April, 2016 while the Public Hearing on Wednesday, 20th April, 2016.
