Sheriff: I’ve Not Yet Made Up My Mind To Run For PDP Chair

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff said he has not yet made up his mind whether to contest ‎in the next National Convention of the party or not.

Sheriff, who was elected last February to complete the tenure of the North East, however, has an opportunity to remain in office as the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), which met on Thursday, approved the recommendation of the zoning committee to retain the National Chairmanship position to the North East.
The zoning committee, which was headed by Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom, also zoned the Deputy National Chairman to South-South and National Secretary to the South West.
Sheriff, who briefed journalists at the end of the meeting, said he would make his decision public if he makes up his mind to seek re-election.
