Soldiers Rescue Victim From Kidnappers’ Den In Abia

Soldiers from 144 Battalion, Ukwa West Local Government Area, under 14 Brigade Ohafia, Abia State have rescued the son of a retired civil servant, Evan Adieze from kidnappers’ den located at Umuojima village in Osisioma Ngwa council area of Abia State.

The troops also succeeded in stopping Adieze’s mother, who was earlier kidnapped, but released by the kidnappers to source ransom, from handing over about N300, 000 for the release of her son.

It was gathered that the soldiers, who were engaged in a fire exchange with the abductors after rescuing the victim, set the house where the boy was kept ablaze.
