A crowd Tuesday gathered at the Kumasi Jubilee Park in the Ashanti Region to witness a spiritual battle between the General overseer of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, who arrived with coffin to battle Okomfo Yaw Appiah, a fetish priest.
Some photographs circulating on social media platforms show Obinim seated with some of his assistant pastors awaiting the arrival of the fetish priest.
Clad in a white dress with a hat on, the Bishop was found at the Golden Jubilee Field at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on the morning of April 12 to challenge the fetish priest who claims to have ordained the man of God.
The alleged spiritual father of Bishop Obinim, Okomfo Yaw Appiah, warned his alleged spiritual son to be wary of his utterances and mannerisms. Bishop Obinim was heard on a tape recording, a couple of days ago, throwing a challenge to the priest to meet him on a common ground where they will both exhibit their spiritual prowess to the awe of a large crowd.
The terms of the contest is that the loser will be buried in a coffin and made to rest in peace. The Bishop brought a coffin to the battle field to fulfill his pledge. Meanwhile, according to Isaac Owusu, Peace FM’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, the fetish priest failed to turn up for the contest.
Isaac however said from the look of things that Bishop Obinim is fully ready for the battle. Obinim promised the gathering he would chase the priest in his house to engage him in the contest, in order to acquit himself with dignity.
