Adeniji-Adele, Former Lagos Commissioner, Dies At 60

Ademola Adeniji-Adele, a former Lagos State Sports Commissioner, has died, family sources said early Thursday.

Adeniji-Adele passed away in India where he had gone for a medical check-up after developing some complications, sources said. He was 60.

An official of Lagos State government who confirmed the development, said the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, would be formally announcing the death soon.

Adeniji-Adele served as commissioner between 2007 and 2011 during the first tenure of former Governor Tunde Fashola.
