Former Minister of State for Education, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, has recounted her ordeal in the hands of kidnappers, saying she did not eat during her captivity that lasted for seven days.
Anisulowo, who spoke on Tuesday night moments after her rescue, said she took to fasting and fervent prayer to survive in the kidnappers’ den.
The 65-year-old former minister was kidnapped on Wednesday, last week, while returning from her farm in Sawonjo, Yewa North Local Government Area of the state.
But following the inter-agency collaboration and use of intelligence, Anisulowo was rescued about 7:00pm on Tuesday at Gbegbelawo village, near Olorunda town in Yewa North Local Government Area.
Two suspects were also arrested by the police in connection with the abduction.
New Telegraph gathered that the kingpin of the kidnapping syndicate was nabbed at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos in an attempt to flee to Dubai while another person was also arrested over the crime.
