Gunmen Abduct Chinese National In Lagos


The police in Lagos have launched manhunt for suspected kidnappers of a Chinese expatriate.
The Chinese national, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, is believed to have been kidnapped at about 4pm on Sunday between Lekki and Ajah axis.
According to information available to New Telegraph, the gunmen, who abducted the man on his way home, were yet to contact anyone as at 9pm on Monday.


New Telegraph, however, learnt that experienced police teams have since swung into action combing various areas of the state in search of the kidnappers.
It was learnt that as soon as the Elemoro Police Division received the report of the abduction and notified the state command, the Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni ordered a massive manhunt for the kidnappers.
Confirming the abduction, the state command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said everything is being done to effect the rescue of the abducted Chinese national.
“Yes, I can confirm that one, Hang Kumming, was abducted from his company at Igando Oloja Elemoro in Ajah. The case is under investigation and as usual, the command is optimistic of cracking the case, even as all mechinaries have been set in motion for his rescue,” said Badmos.
