Unknown gunmen at the weekend invaded the village of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom and killed a couple, just as suspected cultists also killed a 20-year-old boy in the North Bank area of the state capital, Makurdi.

He further explained that the mission of the arsonist against the couple could not be immediately ascertained but that the deceased Okoh had been on the wanted list of police on suspicion of cultism.
According to Yamu, it was the father of the late boy who reported to the police that some young men armed with dangerous weapons stormed his residence in North Bank at 2pm on Saturday and shot his son dead.
