Anisulowo, who represented Ogun West Senatorial District at the Senate between 2003 and 2007, was kidnapped by some armed gunmen along Sawonjo-Imasayi Road last Wednesday, while returning from her farm.
Others, he said, were the Commander 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Brig. Gen. S. Danwalis; Director, Department of State Services, Ogun State, Mr. Kabir Sanni, and search teams from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and office of the Inspector- General of Police, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Adejobi said Ali, who spoke on behalf of the teams, assured residents that the kidnapped senator “will soon be rescued unhurt and the culprits apprehended as every officer of the command and members of the search teams have been having sleepless nights since the day of the incident.”
Ali, who appreciated the IG for his support towards the rescue of the victim, commended other security agencies, search teams and members of the public, for their support.
Meanwhile, one of the siblings of the victim, Kola Popoola, denied that the kidnappers contacted the family and demanded N200m ransom.
