The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Monday staged a peaceful protest in Owerri against the recent hike in fuel price.

The angry youths, escorted by a detachment of armed mobile policemen, noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is evidently inflicting pain on Nigerians and delivering what is contrary to their campaign promises as regards fuel subsidy.
They recalled that the APC promised to reduce price of petrol to N40 per litre during their campaigns but regretted that after one year in office, they have instead hiked fuel price to N145 beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians.
