Nothing Scares Me More Than Failing – Adesua Etomi

NNollywood actress, Adesua Etomi, didn’t start acting on a platter of gold, there were demons she had to conquer in her life before becoming an award-winning actress.

She revealed that her greatest battle was the battle of her mind.

She said “The battle to convince myself that what I had spent five years studying, I should go after because once I finished from school, I was too scared to go into the real world and perform. I think it was the fear of failure. Nothing scares me more than failing, but there’s nothing worse than not trying.

For me, it took me almost two years to pluck up the courage to do this.” Even when she went for the awards event, she didn’t have a lot of things to worry about, but to have fun.

“I just thought to myself… Whatever is going to happen is going to happen, so, just have a good time.”

And so, I went there very bubbly and I was fine up until it got to just before my category, then I started shaking like a leaf. Then they called my name and I froze. Everybody was like “Adesua get up.” And I was like “Oh yeah!”
