Political Associates Deny Anenih’s Rumoured Death

Political associates of former Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, have denied the rumoured death of the elder statesman.

‎Anenih, who resigned as Chairman of PDP Board of Trustees last year after the party’s loss at the general elections, was rumoured to have died in a London hospital for cancer.

But two political associates of the elder statesman, Chief Dan Orbih, Chairman, Edo State chapter of PDP and a former youth leader of the party in the state, Vincent Akhere, described the claims as total fabrication and handiwork of mischief makers.

Anenih’s media aide, Sufuya Ojeifo also said the PDP chieftain is hale and hearty.

Akhere, who spoke on phone, said he spoke with Chief Anenih on phone on Wednesday morning.

According to him, Chief Anenih travelled to London on Tuesday and would be back in the country weekend.
