Fumi berates Chuks for coming late to work on his first day.
Chuks says his cousin suddenly took ill and he had to take him to the hospital.
She doubtfully asks what sort of ailment and he says food poisoning.
She softens and says she has had it before and it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
She says he should have called to let them know.
Chuks apologizes and blames it on the severity of the issue.
Fumi says he can close early as long as he meets his deliverables on time.
When she leaves the room,Chuks calls Ibuzor.
Chibuzor asks for coffee and Chuks tells him where to find it but adds that when Ibuzor is leaving, he should lock the door and drop the key with Bimpe. Stylishly telling him to bounce.
Philip says he's sorry he didn't know it was Richard at the door.
Yaya says she invited him for lunch.
Richard sits and Chats with Philip, they even share jokes about Yaya's memory.
Chuks asks Fumi if he can take his remaining work home and finish there, so he can check up on his cousin.
She says it is not done for junior associates.
He pleads with her that it is just for today and she agrees.
He calls Ene and tells her to guess what.
Ene says Ibuzor is back in town; Frank told her.
She asks where he is and he says he's in their house sleeping but he assures her that he will leave.
Amaka is in the witness box in court. She sings Brenda’s praises; calls her an awesome mother, a goal getter but since Kwame was born, her career took a backseat and it's been all about Kwame.
Brenda’s lawyer asks her if she knows Nosa.
She says she doesn't know Nosa but she knows Brenda has done all for Kwame.
She is asked if she thinks Brenda will be able to raise the boy alone.
Shs says Brenda is more than capable of taking care of Kwame on her own, she has a good home, job and financial stability and she is devoted to him.
Richard and Philip chat about Yoga.
Yaya comes back to join them on the table and Philip says Richard is telling him to try yoga.
Richard says they can all do it together.
Yaya decides to kill the idea immediately; she says Philip is really busy.
To her dismay,Philip says he can make the time.
Richard says he has to use the bathroom and makes his way there, giving Yaya threatening looks as he goes.
Philip says he didn’t know Richard was really funny
Tolu asks Nnenna if she has seen Odum because he had some equipment he was supposed to drop off.
Nnenna says she hasn’t seen him.
Tolu calls Odum’s phone but Odum makes some incoherent excuses.
Tolu looks pretty worried.
Chuks gets home and says he needs to talk to Ibuzor.
Ibuzor doesnt’ let him continue, he says he has a surprise for him.
He goes to the kitchen and brings a plate of good for Chuks.
Chuks looks at it, mouth-watering but he says he's not hungry.
Ibuzor says he spent time preparing it and Chuks should just taste it.
Chuks says since he spent time making it...
He tastes it and asks what he put in it to make it so delicious.
As he's eating Ibuzor asks what he wanted to discuss with him.
Chuks tells him to forget.
After lunch, Philip and Richard sit in the living room and chat about football.
Richard says Philip should come to the gym later.
Yaya tries again, saying Philip can't do short notice but Philip says he can make it.
He says he's going back to work and Richard says he's leaving as well.
They walk to the door. Richard turns to hold Philip and tells Yaya that Philip is a great guy
Great guy and she’s lucky to have him.
Philip says he’s the one who’s lucky to have Yaya.
Brenda takes the stand and swears.
She is asked if Kwame has been in any danger, living with her.
She says her has never been in any overt danger as she makes sure her house is properly baby-proof.
She agrees that Nosa is Kwame’s father but has had no contact with him in the last six months.
Her lawyer asks if Nosa at least contributes to the baby’s upkeep to which Brenda replies that he has never contributed a dime.
She says she reached out to him but he didn't seem interested in seeing Kwame; the only time he said he was coming, he didn't show up and didn't call.
The prosecutor cross-examines Brenda.
She points out the issue with Kwame’s last name, saying, in our culture children bear the names of their fathers.
Brenda asks what culture that would be because in Ghana, where she is from, children bear their mothers’ names.
The lawyer says she has imported the culture.
She asks if Brenda can deny that once the child was born, she systematically started cutting ties with the father , meaning she got married just to have the baby.
Brenda says she didn't need to marry to have a baby; she says Nosa ended the marriage by having an affair, she endured the marriage despite that, till it was apparent he was no longer interested.
The lawyer switches gear and asks if she has a nanny.
Brenda says she has a male servant.
The lawyer misfires by asking if she thinks it is appropriate to have a male care-giver.
Brenda says there is absolutely nothing wrong with a male care-giver and if the prosecutor thinks otherwise then she wonders why she would then believe that her client, Nosa, will be able to take care of Kwame.
General discomfort from Nosa's camp.
St. John is at the spa with Sheila.
She says things are falling into place.
She says thank God the police have Yahimba so she doesn't need to worry about her.
St. John tells her to focus on the spa.
Chuks is at Ziggy's with Ibuzor, trying to do some work.
Ibuzor asks what he’s working on and Chuks says he’s creating a visual. He is designing costumes for a movie.
Ibuzor says it's good he's creative but is it bringing any money.
Chuks says he only just started the job but he's making something for Dike as well.
Ibuzor goes into his element, he says he's talking about big money, he has a connection.
Chuks says he's not interested; he wants to focus on his career and not chasing fast money deals.
Frank is listening, happy to hear the response Chuks gave.
Chuks suggests that Ibuzor looks for a job.
Sankey is standing by her patrol van, on the phone.
She complains to the person on the other end that she's at the address and she can't see anything or anyone.
Zane is coming behind her, as soon as he hears and sees her, he takes off running.
Richard comes back to Yaya's house and starts to shout at her.
He asks who gave her the right to abort his baby.
She is dazed.
He says when he went to the bathroom, he looked around and saw the pills; Philip may not know what those pills are but he does.
She asks how he knows it's his baby and he asks if she will abort Philip's baby; she wouldn’t do that but she will abort his because she doesn’t love him.
Yaya is almost in tears.
