xTottenham are set to overtake Leicester City in the signing of Super Eagles assistant captain, Ahmed Musa, from Russian club, CSKA Moscow.
Tottenham were previously linked with the striker back in 2011, when Harry Redknapp was in charge, but the London failed to agree a deal with the then VVV Venlo star.
The Argentine coach is keen to add to their striking options this summer to take some of the pressure off Harry Kane and Musa is believed to be on the list of potential targets.
The 23-year-old, who scored in CSKA’s 2-0 victory over FK Krasnodar on Monday, has bagged 18 goals in all competitions this season for the Moscow club. Musa has featured in every single league game this season, in a campaign which sees his side needing a win against Rubin Kazan on Saturday to become Russian Premier League champions.
