Another senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Shehu Sani has denied reports from Senator Ben Murray Bruce that he was denied access to the president during a presidential state dinner.
Ben Bruce had earlier alleged that during the dinner, he had gone to greet the president but was stopped by an official of the Department of State Services (DSS) only for him to witness another legislator go and greet the president.
Shehu Sani in a statement vehemently denied the possibility of that happening saying that the president was cordial all through the dinner which was hosted for legislators and that although he did not get a chance to speak during the dinner, some other legislators were assigned that responsibility and even though he has criticized the president at different times during his tenure so far, he did not see the president exhibit any proclivity to ignore any attention from his guests at the dinner.
