A cat survived six days buried by rubble after being caught up in the earthquake that rocked central Italy .
The pet, named Gioia, or Joy, was found alive in the ruins of a house in the devastated town of Amatrice,Daily Record reports.She was weak and dehydrated, but still conscious after being pulled free.
Worried owner Daniela Tursini had been keeping a vigil in the town.
She told fire crews:
