Aisha Buhari Calls On Northerners To Reject Jonathan
Aisha Buhari, the wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has condemned Patience Jonathan, the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, for allegedly describing the North as an enclave of beggars and unwanted children.

Mrs Buhari said that the description coming from someone who ironically campaigns for votes in that region is an indication of a hidden agenda. Therefore, she called on the people of the North to reject the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate.
According to Premium Times, Mrs Buhari assured Kano women that her husband and the APC would fulfill all their electoral promises and would initiate programmes aiming to make women self-reliant.
“With General Buhari in power, the spate of kidnapping and reckless assassination of innocent people will be history in Nigeria. With General Buhari in power, the nation’s depressing economy will be rebounded in line with the expectation of the citizens and world best practices,” she said.
Addressing Kano women, Mrs Buhari stated that it would be a disaster for any politician or political party to ignore the vital role of women.
She called on women to exhibit courage and fighting spirit by making themselves available as foot soldiers during the election. The wife of the APC candidate also advocated for more freedom for women in the North so that they would be able to engage themselves in productive enterprises like their counterparts in the southern part of the country.
Mrs Buhari took the opportunity to commend the Kano state government under the leadership of Rabiu Kwankwaso for its great developmental strides, particularly in improving access to education. She also praised Kwankwaso’s administration for taking children off the streets and into schools.

Recently the Nigerian cyber sphere had been taken aback over some comments attributed to Aisha Buhari. She allegedly called the women of Edo state ‘prostitutes’, who she said her husband would liberate.
