Chris Brown, 26, just couldn’t hide his emotions after a grueling custody battle with Nia Guzman, 32, in which he won joint custody of his daughter Royalty, 1. DGossip247 has spoken to family law attorney Bo Nichols, who revealed the sweet moment that happened after Chris won 50/50 custody — and just how happy he is.
“Chris is beyond happy to be Royalty’s father,” Bo tells DGossip247. “The minute he was adjudicated as her father, he teared up. Royalty is one lucky little girl to have such a loving father like Chris.” Aww! Chris loves Royalty with all of his heart and it really shows! “Out of all the clients I’ve represented, Chris is the most humble and genuine,” Bo adds.
While Chris and Nia will share joint physical custody, with Royalty going back and fourth every four days, the verdict is still not yet final, according to Bo. “The ruling that resulted Friday in Family Court is not final,” he continues. “This is a temporary order, set up by the judge, to give Chris and Nia more time to work out a custody and a financial agreement on their own! The judge is encouraging Chris and Nia to determine what’s best for Royalty. The judge has ordered the parties to mediation before the next hearing.”
Nia originally tried to deny Chris any custodial rights and only wanted to give him supervised visitation. She also demanded $15K of child support, but now she will be receiving $2,500 a month. Just like Rihanna, we’re so happy for Chris and know that he makes one fabulous dad!
